Suzi Hiatt – Executive Director and C/O
Suzi Hiatt is a native of the Galax area and has three daughters and four grandchildren. She has a lifelong career and commitment in disability services with a passion for assuring that her daughter (and the children of others) has the resources needed to be safe and uplifted in each person’s ability.
Suzi is the Executive Director and co-owner of Capriccio Elite, LLC with a primary role in overseeing all agency activities including the growth development of services, quality and risk management oversight, training and development activities, regulation and policy, and processing referrals. Suzi is also currently our Service Facilitator for Consumer Directed Services.
Suzi holds a Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Management and Development, a Master’s degree in Social and Community Services, and a Master’s certificate in Substance Abuse Counseling. Suzi is also a licensed QMHP and CSAC.

Gail Dutchess – Director of Operations and C/O
Gail Dutchess is the Director of Operations and co-owner of Capriccio Elite, LLC. Her primary role is to direct the moving parts of the agency such as payroll, HIPAA, Compliance, Policy and Procedure, Information Technologies, training and development activities, and to stay informed and act on state and federal regulation and law that affect the operations of our agency.
Gail holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Music Education. She also has 2 years of formal training in Information Technology. Her professional experience includes 30 + years in the field of intellectual and developmental disability services in both the direct care and administration of services.
Gail is a native of West Virginia and found her way to Virginia by way of North Carolina. She enjoys woodworking, playing and writing music, gardening, and spending time with her family and pups.

Janisa Viars – Programs Coordinator
Janisa Viars is the Programs Coordinator for Capriccio Elite. She typically meets with families to initiate services, write plans, reports, and conducts staff supervision. She enjoys her job because it gives her the opportunity to help individuals navigate through the service life. Building good relationships with those they support brings her joy, being someone they can reach out to when they need help.
In her spare time, she loves spending time with her family and two little girls, reading, and watching sports.

Landon Viars – Workforce Manager
Landon Viars is Capriccio Elite’s Workforce Manager, where he oversees responsibilities such as scheduling, training, safety and security, and website management/IT. He also conducts safety reviews for all Capriccio Elite assets as well as monthly and quarterly inspections for Capriccio Elite properties.
In his free time, Landon enjoys spending quality time with his family and pets. Landon also loves college sports and likes to tinker with anything mechanical.

David Spraker – Group Homes Manager
David Spraker was raised in Galax, VA, where he graduated from Galax High in 2011 and obtained an educational background in Legal Assisting from Wytheville Community College. David has pursued experience in the Human Services field since 2014. David strives to help clients reach their full potential by discovering new interests, creating goals, contributing to the community, and celebrating success. David is the House Manager of our Nuckolls Curve and Long Street Group Homes and has been employed with Capriccio Elite since 2022.
During his free time, David likes to stay connected with friends and family by traveling, going to the beach, hiking, ziplining, and spending time with his dog, Chalupa. David is a plant enthusiast and can often be seen tending to the banana trees and cactus patch along the dry banks of his West Galax home. David attends public talks and bible study at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Wolf Glade. He also has a passion for cooking and interior design.
