Group Home Manager / Full Time
We are seeking a full-time Group Home Manager to oversee daily operations and provide direct care in a group home setting. The role is based in Galax, VA, with typical hours Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, though some flexibility is required.
Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and support staff, including monthly shift observations.

Provide direct care to residents (at least 30% of the time).

Ensure compliance with regulations and maintain accurate records.

Manage home budgets and expenses.
-
Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable home environment.

Plan and implement programs and activities for residents.

Handle administrative tasks and occasional shift coverage.
-
Participate in the Leadership Team to support quality and risk management.
Requirements:

Experience working with individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities, autism, physical disabilities, or mental health needs.

Strong leadership and organizational skills.

Able to supervise staff across all shifts.

Willing to occasionally respond to off-hour calls (stipend provided).

Physical Requirements:

Able to provide hands-on care including lifting, bending, standing, kneeling, walking, etc.
Minimum Requirements for All Positions
18 years of age or older with a high school diploma or GED
Pass Criminal Background check and Child Protective registry checks.
Valid Driver’s license with satisfactory DMV score and no DUI’s. Current auto ins.
Pass pre-employment and random drug screenings.
Meet physical requirements of the position to include the basic ability to lift, bend, stoop, reach, push/pull, stand, sit, walk, use hands and fingers, kneel, crouch, talk, hear, and see.
